LEDC Executive Director Manny Hidalgo has been awarded the 2009 EXCEL award from the DC-based Center for Nonprofit Advancement! The Gelman, Rosenberg and Freedman EXCEL Award highlights three outstanding nonprofit leaders in the DC metro area for outstanding nonprofit chief executive leadership. Hidalgo joined Executive Director Pamela Michell of New Hope Housing and Executive Director Eleni Rossides of the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation in receiving the award.
"I'm honored to share this award with my staff and Board," Hidalgo said. "Our collective leadership has helped LEDC energetically tackle the challenges facing low to moderate-income communities in the DC metro area within this still fragile economy." |
